'Wall street' in the movie.


Have you ever listened the word ‘wall street’ for place or symbolic word? Wall street is the U.S financial centre and stock exchange in New York City. This place used to refer to the business that is done there. Wall street is a very important element of the movie ‘The wolf of the street’ because the place appears to the major settings and backgrounds in the movie. The movie deal with the story of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort.
 
One of the important events in the movie involve succeed in Jordan Belfort’s business. Jordan Belfort, a real character, an now American author and motivational speaker, and former stockbroker who pleaded guilty to fraud and related crimes. The movie deal with his real life until he was sent to prison. Originally, he was a door-to-door meat and seafood salesman. However, the business ultimately failed. So, he finds a job as a trainee stockbroker. A few years later, he goes to the wall street in New York and starts his own firm with American dream. His corporation grows fast, and he have excess success and affluence in his twenties. The wealth he gain is from wall street where he works. If he did not work in wall street or work in other places, he will not accumulate enormous wealth and warranted the title ‘the wolf of the street’. The reason his succeed is that he knows flow of wall street’s stock well and he excels marketing penny stocks.
 
Another events in the movie involve Jordan Belfort’s business failure in the wall street. He becomes wealthier, his greed more big, eventually he rakes enormous money through manipulation. He runs the rackets in the wall street. The strong of his knowledge about stock is turn into a illegality. Money, power, women, drugs, temptations were for the taking and the threat of authority was irrelevant for him. For Jordan and his co-workers, modesty was quickly deemed overrated and more was never enough. If he worked in other places not in wall street, he will not become a criminal. The characteristic of the wall street incited him to greedy, finally he goes into bankruptcy.
 
‘The wolf of wall street’ could not be set in any other place. Jordan Belfort as a stockbroker has it all and lost it all in the wall street. For Jordan Belfort ‘wall street’ is both fortune and unfortune place. Would you challenge if something happens like this to you whether you gain or lose everything?

    I did not watch this movie but I heard it was very popular when it came out! Your essay is organized really well! Especially, I like the last phrase about you asking question to us! I think it is really catching attention and great phrase to end the essay :) To answer to that question, I think I would not challange if there is a slight possibility of losing everything lol I will probably choose save option because I am not as brave as the character of this movie XD
